Is your heart heavy and hurting? Are you feeling sad and weighed down? Is your hope and zest lagging? Life can be hard. We all experience pain and suffering. I want you to know that you are not alone and there is hope for you!
In a single moment, everything can change.
A relationship might crumble, a dream could fade. Your heart can break for countless reasons—grief, rejection, loneliness, uncertainty, loss, or betrayal.
When life turns upside down and nothing seems to make sense…
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
—Psalm 34:18 NLT
David, who wrote Psalm 34, spoke from experience. He had seen both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, but even in the hardest moments, he recognized that God was there. He knew that God’s presence was real and that God could bring change, even when everything felt impossible.
Is your heart heavy? Do you feel weighed down by pain?
God is close.
You’re not alone in this struggle.
He sees you, even in your sorrow.
He meets you right where you are.
He hasn’t forgotten you.
He hasn’t left your side.
That doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges. But even when your mind is racing and your heart is full of doubt, God offers a peace and closeness that goes beyond words.
Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have constant access to God’s presence. The Bible often describes the Holy Spirit as our Comforter—always ready to soothe, guide, support, and uplift us.
The comfort God provides is a gift from His Spirit, who is always with us. So, if your heart is hurting and your spirit feels crushed, remember that you’re in good hands. God is near, and He won’t abandon you.
Is your heart heavy and hurting? Take a moment today to acknowledge whatever is weighing on your heart. Allow yourself to rest in God’s presence for a while. When you’re ready, try memorizing this verse and let it remind you of God’s closeness throughout the day.
