Let’s face it. These days have been difficult for every single person in the world. All of us have been accosted by the same unrelenting virus that seems bent on keeping us imprisoned or sick or isolated. Strangely, and yet somehow understandably, it has caused so much division among us that we feel isolated even further. We are worried about our young children, our grown children, and our children’s children. Many of us have lost jobs, friends, homes, family, loved ones, self esteem, purpose, and our sense of hope and peace. Life is hard, but there is hope for you and for me. Oh what great news! There is hope for us! Let’s talk about it.
How Do You Get Hope When Life is Hard?
I am constantly looking for good news, for the silver lining, for the light at the end of the tunnel. You could say that I am an eternal optimist. The glass is always full if you look at it right kind of person. I will encourage you no matter what. But let me be real. Life is not perfect. We live in a world where bad things happen and where disappointments can always be right around the corner.
My life has been full of ups and downs just as I am sure yours has. I struggle with the things common to humans the same way you do. I don’t dare think that my hardships can compare to yours. Your life may be so much more difficult than mine. I am in no way making light of the deep struggles in your life and I am praying for you as I write this article.
Is There Any Hope For Me?
So what do I mean when I say life is hard but there is hope for you? You may be wondering is there any hope for me? I am here to offer you the only hope that can truly change your life. I could not be as joyful and optimistic if I did not know the source of hope. Life without this hope would be empty and unbearable. There would be no hope for the present. No hope for the future. No hope for eternity. I want you to have the hope that I have found.
God knows who you are. He created you. God loves you. He formed you in your mother’s womb and laid out your best life before you. You may be wondering then, why you are not feeling very hopeful or that your life has much meaning or purpose. I am wondering if you know God. I would ask you if you know about Jesus and his love and mercy. Would you be willing to speak to someone who can help you know more about how you can experience the true hope and joy found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ?
