How to Encourage Someone Else
We often think of encouragement as big, dramatic gestures, but sometimes it’s as simple as a kind word, a prayer, or a listening ear. A quick text that says “I’m thinking of you” might mean more than you realize. God often uses ordinary people to deliver extraordinary comfort.
But community isn’t just about what we give—it’s also about what we allow ourselves to receive. Sometimes encouragement looks like letting someone else see your struggle. It’s brave to say, “I need prayer,” or “I’m not okay.” When you open that door, you invite others to reflect God’s love back to you.
Encourage Others
When you encourage others, your own heart is strengthened too. It’s one of God’s mysterious blessings—giving away hope multiplies it.
If you’re feeling lonely, ask God to send the right people into your life—and be willing to reach out first. Real encouragement flows both ways.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Help me be a source of encouragement to others and humble enough to receive it when I need it. Use my words and actions to lift those around me. Amen.
