Scripture for Today:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
Waiting is the Hardest Part of Faith
Waiting can feel like the hardest part of faith. You pray, you hope, and yet the answer seems delayed—or completely silent. It’s easy to start wondering if God forgot. But Isaiah reminds us that waiting isn’t wasted when our hope is in the Lord.
Hope in the Bible isn’t wishful thinking. It’s a confident expectation that God will keep His promises. When you anchor your hope in Him, you discover that He strengthens you in the waiting, not just after it’s over.
Think of the eagle in Isaiah’s verse. It doesn’t avoid the storm—it rises above it, using the wind itself to lift higher. God invites you to do the same. The waiting may feel like resistance, but it’s actually preparation. Every delay is an opportunity to grow deeper roots of faith.
God is Working on Your Heart While You Wait
When you can’t see what God is doing, remember: He’s not only working on your situation—He’s working on your heart.
So if you feel weary, hold on to hope. The story isn’t finished yet. The God who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
Prayer
Father, I don’t like waiting, but I trust that You are working even when I can’t see it. Renew my strength and help me soar in faith. Teach me to hope in You, knowing Your timing is perfect. Amen.
